Why do I think that a rose wrapped in tracing paper is so pretty?
Anyway, I don’t know how I should feel about how they feel.

Just read a schoolmate’s entry on his open invitation to his convocation.
Makes me wonder about my own. If there’re any good reasons to attend at all.

“It is easy to weaken discipline. Just spend years lying on the couch, watching TV, and eating junk food with no direction, goals or dreams. A lazy lifestyle weakens the discipline muscle to the point that getting out of bed takes effort. Even doing the dishes becomes work and searching for the TV converter is stressful.”
I just read this off a friend’s blog. And the first thing that came to my mind was oh shit.
About an hour before I read this I was complaining to my brother about washing dishes.

Life is meaningless when it comes to another season finale of Ghost Whisperer.
Melinda Gordon is very chio.
OK that’s about the most exciting thing that just happened in my life.
Can I go Switzerland? I don’t mind travelling on a magic carpet if there’s no SIA.
The flat just above mine is undergoing renovations and the deafening drilling goes nonstop from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
I will definitely curse and swear at 9.32am later because I am still not sleeping at 4am now. Imagine those dark circles.
Anyway, the jobless me have been ransacking through my old stuff on my laptop. Those old photos, old private MS Word entries, old SMS-es that I painstakingly put into MS Word.. every little past memory. I do not remember some words that I jotted down a few months ago and I could only wished I had written more. Laziness certainly does not get people anywhere. So sad to say that I’ve spent half of my life being a lazy bum.
I had a really good chat with my Mum yesterday morningafternoon when I woke up, even before I managed to brush my teeth. She really loves talking to me. We were openly discussing the extent of men’s sexual fantasies and how amazing it was that they could let their fantasies run wild on public transport aka MRT and BUS (this is a great justification of my love for public transport. muahaha. as if). She met a pervert once on a bus when she was still a youth who kept bumping against her. Goodness this thought disgusts me. I also had an interesting encounter during my secondary school days. Like mother like daughter, what a good saying.
Anyway, that’s not the main point.
My Mum was asking me yesterday about my friends and questioning me about how I’ve been spending lesser time with my friends now. Then I started to wonder where had all my friends gone. I’m really missing some of the closer ones but we had been too busy to have a proper meet up. I wouldn’t disagree if my friends point out that I’ve been spending a lot of time with the boyfriend. It’s quite naive to think that everything will stay the same. I just hope that they will still come to me just like how we’ve always been there for each other.
I should have just left my old stuff alone.

I’m back from a shopping frenzy in Bangkok. The extent of our shopping can be measured by the amount of dislocation of my feet from my ankles.
The last day was exceptionally difficult for me because I have to come back to a jobless Singaporean life. Of course I still look forward to seeing weiwei and meeting my new FREE phone. Haha!
It was a really enjoyable trip. I guess anywhere will be the right place as long as the company is right. Fortunately, we didn’t have any major disputes although my fondness for private transport aka CABS was a little too much for him to take. Well, I just love spending my Thai baht. Can’t use them in Singapore anyway and it’s a bother to convert them back to Sing dollars.
We were also rather fortunate that we didn’t run into anyone who tried to hack our heads off with crazy pricing (I better not mention that pair of jeans and those 2 soccer jerseys). I’m partly to blame too for these purchases because I didn’t stop him from buying. But one thing for sure is, they will certainly be more expensive in Singapore. I hope this statement makes him feel better. Haha.
I simply LURRRVE the Zen Japanese Restaurant! So glad to make it back there after a good dining experience during my previous trip in Dec 06. Seafood don seafood don seafood don seafood don seafood don seafood don seafood don seafood don seafood don. SEAFOOD DON. Prawns prawns prawns prawns prawns prawns prawns prawns prawns. PRAWNS. Alright. Too bad we missed the street market that night due to the rain. But it’s okay cuz I was looking forward to a good rest from all that walking and shopping.
We also satisfied his craving for A&W. I can’t remember the last time I ate it in Singapore. Not surprising, I know. I also made this amazing discovery that they serve twister fries and not onion rings. We had an intelligent conversation regarding our (mainly his) bo-seh behaviour e.g. taking off slippers in public, sitting with legs cropped up high etc. It was rather funny. And I still find it amazing that we could go on a trip together when a few years ago I would twitch at the mention of his name.
We are really in love with daidee. I dunno what we are thinking but somehow we derive joy from pissing each other off after winning a game. I’m not really affected cuz I’m good at being oblivious to my surroundings. This is a good way to pass time while on the plane. Better than games like parrot-talking, see-who-has-the-longest-breath etc.
The Pets Section at Chatuchak market is a must visit for pet lovers. But I don’t feel good about the way they are put up for sale. Humans really love to complicate things. We bring global warming upon ourselves. We deserve it!
